
DR. GRACE MARTIN
PROGRAM MENTOR

Dr. Grace Martin, our esteemed mentor and collaborator brings a wealth of executive experience to SHE SHED. As the Chief Executive Officer for both the March Joint Powers Authority and the March Inland Port Airport Authority, Dr. Martin directs the administration and development of over 3,500 acres of former Air Force properties. Her leadership extends to overseeing a public airport situated at the March Air Reserve Base, where she leverages more than 25 years of experience in community and economic development to provide guidance to policymakers from the cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris, and Riverside County.
Under Dr. Martin's visionary leadership, initiatives spearheaded through the March JPA partnerships have generated over $4.5 billion in economic benefits, resulting in the creation of 15,000 jobs in the region.
Dr. Martin's dedication to service extends beyond her professional roles. She served in the Army National Guard from 2003 to 2011 and was honored with the Veteran of the Year Award for Assembly District 61 in 2018. Additionally, Dr. Martin actively participates in organizations such as the American Legion and the Riverside Military Affairs Committee.
Educationally, Dr. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning and Civil Engineering from USC, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne, and a Doctorate in Policy, Planning & Development, also from USC.
As a collaborator Dr. Martin embodies leadership, expertise, and dedication, driving SHE SHED forward in its mission to empower the next generation of female leaders in STEM and beyond.
